We’ll all gather up at the Starbucks at 7130 Avenida Encina, in the Ralphs parking lot. We’ll gather at 9 and leave at 9:30, after a driver’s meeting. It will be a run of about an hour and a half, on back roads, and we will end up at Bates Nut Farm. You can bring a picnic, or buy one from Ralph’s before we head out. (they have ready made sandwiches, etc at the Deli)

Bring your two way radios if you have them, otherwise we do have some to loan you. A radio helps you to know what’s going on. Not required, but nice.

Our pace will be quick but not super fast. Make sure you have enough gas before you leave.

If you haven’t been to Bates lately, they sell nuts, candies, jams and jellies, etc and they also have farm animals to pet. It’s a lovely place to end up, and we will have lots of room to park. Admission is free.
